Pricing
You pay for what you store and move.
No seats, no plan tiers, no annual commitment, no sales call. Usage is metered on four things, added up, and invoiced monthly. Start without a card.
The four meters
Everything you are billed for is one of these.
There is no fifth line and no bundle. Each meter has a unit you can reason about before you commit to anything.
Computation
per run-minuteTime a backup actually spends running. A job that finishes in twenty seconds is charged for twenty seconds.
Storage
per GB-hourWorking space held while a run is in flight: the staging a backup needs before it is sealed and archived.
Archive
per GB-dayBackups you are keeping. Sampled once a day, because stored data accrues whether or not anything ran.
Transit
per GB movedBytes in and bytes out. Uploading a backup and downloading it later are both transfer.
Rates are not published yet.
The units above are settled. The price attached to each is being measured against real infrastructure cost before it goes on this page, and it is a launch blocker rather than a detail. We would rather show you nothing than a number we intend to change.
Estimate
Work out what your setup would use.
Describe the backup you actually want and see the usage it generates in each meter.
Monthly usage
| Computation | 120 run-minutes |
| Storage | 600 GB-hours |
| Archive | 6,000 GB-days |
| Transit | 600 GB |
This is the usage your workload generates, in the units you will be billed on. The money column turns on when the rates are final. We are not going to show you a number we intend to change.
An estimate, not a quote. Archive assumes your retained copies sit for the whole month; a real bill is sampled daily against what is actually stored.
Discounts
Free for non-profits. Half price for startups.
Both are a discount on the invoice, not a different product. You get the same meters, the same limits and the same support. The bill is simply reduced before it is charged.
Non-profits, free
Registered non-profits and NGOs pay nothing. Not a trial and not a credit that runs out. The invoice is zero for as long as you are with us.
Startups, 50% off for two years
Half price on everything for your first two years. The two years run from when the discount is applied, and there is nothing to cancel when it ends. The invoice simply returns to standard rates.
Both are applied by hand after a short conversation, because both are judgement calls rather than a checkbox. Email us from the account you signed up with.
Free tier
A one-time credit, and no card to start.
Every new workspace gets USD 50 of credit, once. It never expires and there is nothing to renew or cancel. You spend it on real usage at the same rates everyone pays, and when it is gone, you add a card. There is no trial clock counting down in the corner.
| Limit | Free | With a card |
|---|---|---|
| Workers | 1 | 10 |
| Backup definitions | 5 | 100 |
| API keys | 2 | 20 |
| Members | 1 | 25 |
| Stored data | 20 GB | Unlimited |
| Retention window | 7 days | Unlimited |
| Workspaces per user | 5 | 5 |
These are blast-radius limits, not a paywall. They exist so a runaway script cannot quietly cost either of us a fortune, which is also why adding a card lifts them rather than unlocking features.
If a payment fails
We hold your backups. That changes what we are allowed to do.
The moment a customer most needs their data is often the moment their billing broke. So a failed payment starts a ladder, not a deletion, and paying the invoice reverses it from any stage.
Warned
Day 0
A banner and a notice. Nothing is enforced and nothing stops.
Stopped
Day 7
No new runs, schedules paused. Configuration stays editable so you can fix the setup while you fix the billing. Artifacts untouched, downloads normal.
Blocked
Day 30
Read-only. Nothing new is created or modified. Downloads still work.
Deletion
After a year
Only after a full year on the ladder. Nobody should lose a backup to a bounced card, an unread email, or a holiday.
Downloads never stop
At every stage above, including read-only. Your backups are not leverage.
No late fees
No penalties, no interest, no reactivation charge.
